A few things to consider

Pre Procedure Considerations

* Are you Pregnant or nursing? If so, please reschedule your appointment after your delivery and/or

    upon completion of nursing.

*  If you have had an organ transplant you are not a candidate.

*  Are you scheduled for or considering vision correction surgery? No permanent makeup procedures

can be performed 1 month prior to laser surgery or three months after.

*  Are you on blood thinners such as Coumadin, etc.? Steroids such as Prednisone? Chemotherapy?

Prophylactic Chemotherapy? Ibuprofen?  If so, medical clearance will be necessary prior to

    permanent makeup procedures.

*  Do you have a fever blister at this time?  Have you ever had even one fever blister in your lifetime?

If you are having lip procedures and have any history of cold sores/fever blisters/herpes simplex,

you will be required to contact your physician for an anti-herpetic such as Valtrex to possibly

    prevent such outbreaks.

*  Are you on Accutane for treatment of Acne? A waiting period of 1 year is necessary prior to

    permanent makeup.

*  Do you have a joint replacement?  If yes, you will require pre-medication and medical clearance.

*  Are you an insulin dependent diabetic? If yes, medical clearance is required.

*  Do you plan on going on a vacation (in the sun) in the next 2 weeks?  If so, please schedule your

    appointment after you return.

Post Procedure Considerations

*  All permanent cosmetic procedures are multi-session processes.  You must come back for at least

one touch-up visit before it can be determined that your work is complete.  Touch-up visits are

scheduled approximately 6 weeks after your initial procedure.

*  Be prepared for the color intensity of your procedure to be significantly brighter or darker as well

as larger and sharper, than what is expected for the final outcome.  It will take time for this

transition, (approx. 1to 2 weeks for brows and eyeliner., 6 weeks for lips) based on how quickly

the outer layer of your skin exfoliates.

*  While permanent makeup pigments may initially simulate the exact color and tone desired, it may

not always remain a perfect match.  Pigments are constant, while your own skin tones will vary

depending on exposure to cold, heat, sun and circulatory changes.  For example, if you tan your

skin and had a scar camouflaged your surrounding skin will be darker in appearance than the

    treated area.

*  Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it best not to

make any social plans for a day or two following a procedure. Allow a minimum of 1 month

healing from time of procedures for significant events. This reduces stress for all.

*  You may look like you’ve had a good cry for several hours following the eyeliner procedure.  You
may also be sensitive to light, so it is important to wear sunglasses and make arrangements for

someone to drive you home follow your eyeliner procedure.  You should not wear contact lenses

the day of an eye brow or eyeliner procedure.  You may resume wearing lenses as soon as your

eyeliner has healed and your eyes have returned to their pre-tattooed condition.

*  Use a good sunscreen daily.  The lips require protection as pigment can become photosensitive.

*  If you donate blood, it is a Red Cross policy that you must wait one year after any tattooing

    procedure before donating.

*  If you are planning a chemical peel, MRI or other medical procedure, please tell them that you

have had an iron-oxide cosmetic tattoo.

*  If you are planning to have laser hair removal on your upper lip or a Photo Facial with an IPL you

must tell your laser specialist that you have permanent make up so this area can be avoided by the

laser. Both ablative and non-ablative lasers may or will cause pigment to turn black
